Services

Three jobs municipalities hire us for.

Occupancy

Inspect before a tenant moves in. You get a clear report and a habitability finding, not a stack of photos with no conclusion.

Code enforcement

IPMC and quality-of-life cases: notices, reinspections, and a file that can go to court.

Zoning

Use, occupancy, and transfers checked against the ordinance, including conditional certificates when the ordinance allows them.

Photos, notices, and deadlines stay in one place the municipality owns. No new IT bill. See the desk

Twenty-five years in Pennsylvania law enforcement. Six years as Director of Code & Safety for Hempfield Township. ICC-certified in property maintenance and residential building, and a certified fire inspector.

The work is the job he already ran from the township chair: limited staff, a messy file, and a board that wants a number it can defend.

Questions

Plain answers before you call.

Who is the contract with?

Be Safe Inspections, LLC. That is the name on the agreement and the insurance. Code Compliance by BSI is the name of the working desk, not a second company.

How is it priced?

Quoted per municipality, for the work you name: occupancy, code enforcement, zoning, or the software on its own. There is no software license to buy.

Where do the records live?

With the municipality, on Google’s infrastructure. Photos, notices, and deadlines stay exportable. There is no new IT bill and no separate silo.

How do we start?

Use the proposal form, or call. Name the municipality and whether occupancy, blight, or the software is the first problem.

Onboarding took hours instead of months.
Municipal client, western Pennsylvania
The turnaround time is incredible, but what stands out most is the sheer professionalism. The documentation is so clean, thorough, and objective that our municipal solicitor didn't have to rewrite a single thing before issuing a notice.

We used to have a weeks-long backlog for occupancy inspections that had landlords and tenants constantly calling our offices. Switching to Be Safe Inspections eliminated that overnight. Their response time is remarkably fast. The inspection reports are in our inbox almost immediately.
